Orange River – Cederberg

 Day 39 – Orange River – Cederberg

A final border crossing set us enter South Africa as we travel through the desert landscapes of Namaqualand on our way to the Cederberg region.   No more desserts, dust,  and bumpy roads! Everything is green with patches of wild flowers.

Cederberg is north of Cape Town, very overlooked and really special. Cederberg Oasis would be a great place to stay for its endless vineyards, orange orchards, mountain ranges, as icing on the cake: endless wildflowers in the spring months (July to September). Tonight we enjoyed a traditional meal and celebrated the end of the journey tomorrow in Cape Town.
