Victoria Falls
Day 20 - Victoria Falls
I got up early to check out the on-site animals, since I spent most my time setting up tent and showered before dark yesterday. However, the camp called up the animals after dark to other areas, and we couldn’t see them before we checked out the camp.
In the afternoon, after crossing the Southern reaches of Zambia, we made our way to Victoria Falls, and got our first look at the mighty Victoria Falls, the mist that Thunders. I will decide the activities to do tomorrow. I stayed in Shearwater Explorers Village for one night, and had an African food with my group mates. It was cold (47f) at night, yet I was fortunate enough to stay with my group mate in a room, and enjoyed a great breakfast at Shearwater Explorers Village.
Had I known what I know now, I would just do Maasai Mara tour and Serengeti National Park, then fly to Zanzibar, South Luangwa, Okavango Delta, etc., to avoid the long and bumpy land transport (“African Massage”), not to mention the likelihood to run into odd tour member(s) who can ruin the vacation.
